I have a single red strand of hair while the rest is black. why?

It only appears on some days and sometimes in different places. It also looks more like orange-red and it shines and sticks out from the rest and i am pretty sure its my hair on nothing that just landed there. My friends tried pulling it.

You will go gray there first. You are losing your pigment, Red is the first color to show when you lose the pigment. Were you hit there once, birthmark? Not a big deal- very normal. Kinda funny.
