I think a better starting place before you go to agencies is if you have a friend who is reasonable with a camera (do not have to be a professional or even that good just okay) Just take 100 photos of yourself in different poses, clothing and backgrounds then pick out 10-20 nice photos. You can then use this as a portfolio, and even better instead of printing them which cost you money every time, host them on a website and get some business cards print with the website address on and just hand these out instead. This is a far cheaper way of doing it and with no RISK. You should never have to pay to get a job if you do there is a high chance it is a scam.

I have some natural red highlights too %26amp; my hair is mostly all brown, %26amp; i use john frieda radiant red all the time. It just brings out my red highlights more. I am very pale as well, with light brown hair (red undertones) and I have sworn by Loreal Visible Lift foundation in Soft Ivory (perfect for pale skin; light ivory has peachy tones and doesn't look as good). I also use a Revlon brown eye shadow on the lid with taupe/cream color (usually light frost) on the brow area with a light peach or rose blush. My lipstick is either a taupe one or a brownish frost. This seems to keep my features "real" and not too heavy...more natural looking than "made up." Hope this helps?

You don't need to dye your hair for this, like many people will tell you. All you need to do is use a shampoo and/or conditioner made for red hair and it will amplify your redness and highlights.
wear, contrasting colors like purple, or splash some green. i know this is stereotype but, I think that many redheds have green eyes so the green will bring out your green as well as the red.

You can't 'draw' out the red color if that's what you're asking. The only thing you can do is get red highlights. Try a nice auburn color or copper color.
What I'd do is go in Sally's and look at the hair swatches they have by the hair colors. Try and find the red color that most closely matches your own hair color. Then put in a few highlights and lowlights.
If you don't know how to do this, you can buy an inexpensive ebook about doing it yourself, or go to a hairdresser and ask them to do it for you!
I would definitely go for it tho. Red hair is HOT and looks great. Variety is the spice of life. I have around 7 different colors in my hair and I love it! (highlights and lowlights) I've been coloring my hair since I went thru Cosmetology school 17+ years ago. I always have fun when I color my hair!

whatever you do ask for a colour of sandy brown or golden brown...do not get amber brown or milk chocolate both of those have underlying red pigments...but...anything golden will suit....good luck

If your hair naturally pulls red, you will always get a red result when going lighter. Ask the stylist to use a strong toner on your hair this will keep the brassy look out of your hair and it will be more caramel in color. I just did it with my hair 3 weeks ago.

Anyway because of all the red pigment my hair always looks brasssy. (9 have tried Ash, Beige, etc) I can't find a color that will complemente with my milk white skin. Browns wash me out %26amp; reds are to brassy. HELP!

what you will have to do is if you want it blonde because of the brass it will take you more then one session with blonde. First try a lightener that gets you to the brassy stage then dye your hair blonde one more time. Then your hair should be a shade of blonde.

I am white as a ghost with brown hair. Sunburns are very bad for you..(just have to post the warning) but...I never tan without getting a light sunburn. For me there is no happy medium. I have to recommend a spray tan (if you can afford it) because it is so much better (and looks better right away! No red fuss!)

The current National Geographic magazine reports that less than two per cent of the world's population has natural red hair, created by a mutation in northern Europe thousands of years ago.

The last natural blondes will die out within 200 years, scientists believe.
A study by experts in Germany suggests people with blonde hair are an endangered species and will become extinct by 2202.
Researchers predict the last truly natural blonde will be born in Finland - the country with the highest proportion of blondes.
But they say too few people now carry the gene for blondes to last beyond the next two centuries.
The problem is that blonde hair is caused by a recessive gene.
In order for a child to have blonde hair, it must have the gene on both sides of the family in the grandparents' generation.
The researchers also believe that so-called bottle blondes may be to blame for the demise of their natural rivals.
They suggest that dyed-blondes are more attractive to men who choose them as partners over true blondes.
Harding et al (2000) proposed that red hair was not the result of positive selection but rather occurs due to a lack of negative selection. In Africa, for example, red hair is selected against because high levels of sun would be harmful towards fair skin. However, in Northern Europe this does not happen and so redheads come about through genetic drift.

Both my children are redheads. I am dark haired and dark eyed, but my husband is a redhead. I think that the gene for red hair has to be on both the mother and father's family. surprisingly, when both parents have the ginger gene, the red head gene becomes dominant. I just knew ONE of my children would resemble me, but no luck!

Wow, I am 100% with you on this one. It's bad enough there's never enough good female rappers . . . I have tried to follow Charli B-more's career but find it difficult. I'm not a "club" girl so I don't go out to underground clubs to keep up with the scene. I have a Funk Flex mixtape that her %26amp; Cam'ron have a tight track on there. I always have black hair, but I notice on occasions that I have one or two strands of hair that is either completely red or white.
When I pluck them out and examine them more closely, they feel more thinner than my normal black strands. Are these considered unhealthy or dead strands?
I have been noticing this since grade school, and I always thought this was odd.
I think it's just a random occurance. I kept about three white hairs from the time I was in gradeschool (of course now I have more than a couple). My hair is naturally red, and there are several different colors in it - some lighter, some darker. Most people have a range of color in their hair if you get to looking closely. Hair itself is dead, only the root that produces it is alive. Those initial white hairs were about the same as my other hair, but this new white stuff I'm getting is thick and course. I'm afraid I'm going to be one of those old ladies with bubble hair because I won't be able to do anything else with it.... yuck!
I've always wanted to research that. I have a lot of fine blonde hair. Occasionally in the past 5 yrs or so I've noticed a long thick and coarse red or black hair. It appeared like magic and was that color from root to tip. Weird! I was hoping I wasn't turning into a redhead or brunette. I thought maybe it was due to age as I was in my late 30s.

He's been in quite a few movies, though, besides Jerry Maguire. You can change your foundation and blush to brighten up your face to look great with your lovely light red hair.

Brown eyed redheads are best in warm colors. You probably tan with some freckles, right? Brown eyed reds are the only ones who seem able to tan enough to really notice. Browns, oranges, greens will work well on you. I'm going to totally disagree with the poster above me. Orange (not NEON orange but a peachy orange) will look fantastic on a red head.
You can also pull off purple if it is more red purple than blue purple. You can wear red but you need one that has warm tones to it, not a red that leans towards the blue spectrum. A turquoise will really look good.
Black is NOT your color, nor are greys and whites. It will wash out your face and as a guy, you don't have the advantage of makeup to fix things. If you have to wear black, keep it away from your face... button up shirt that's not buttoned all the way will be ok.
You're the lucky redhead... the blue eyed ones have the extremely fair skin and can be overpowered by a lot of the colors that will work great on you.

An Olive green shirt with khakis. You have very earthy tones, so try to keep to cool colors (greens, blues, purples). Don't do red or orange, but yellow sometimes looks ok if done right. I have red hair, and green seems to work best for me. Brown is also a really good choice because anything that brings out your eyes will look good. Pink looks horrible but I don't think you'll be wearing much of that. So all and all, green and brown.

I've tried "Redlights" hair colour but it didn't work.I've also tried bleaching the hair for 20mins, rinsing then adding a red tint but the colour isn't bright enough.
If you have already bleached hair that was previously tinted black, you have damaged the hair. Doing a little more won't hurt. If you want very red slices, you will need to leave the bleach on for longer, until all of the black is out, and all you can see in the hair is yellow or orange. Then, use the red. Always rinse your hair in cold water, as reds fade faster than any other color, and the cold water helps the cuticle lay down, and hold the color molecules in better. Don't use baby shampoos or dandruff either, they are clarifiers and will strip the color out fast.
ive seen someone getting it done before in the hairdressers, she had the bits of hair she wanted red lightened and then they applied the red. my friend also had this done but when she went swimming the red turned a brown colour which looked nice but wasnt what she wanted. id go to the hairdressers as they will know exactly how long to lighten the hair for and will use the right kind of red colour.
Just go to a professional. You pay more, but you won't ruin your hair by overprocessing, and guessing at which color to use.

If you've bleached your hair then you've probably damaged it already- Not that I blame you I've done it too.
Try getting a bright dye- I have one, it's brand names is called 'Star Gazer'. The only problem is that it isn't permanent but everytime you re-apply it, it comes out really bright.
You should apply the dye to the bleached parts of your hair for the best effects.
Go to a professional salon and get it done. Or try your local college where they run training courses in hair and beauty they're usually looking for guinea pigs (that's where I used to get mine done).
Make sure to leave the bleach on long enough and for some reason wrapping the streaks in foil really helps it develop more. I'm not sure why but it made a difference when I did my hair. And make sure the red is permanent not semi-permanent or it wont work as well.
Am I right in thinking you know have the parts you want red bleached? Try Schwarzkopf Live XXL colour hair dye, I used to have post box red hair by accident but it grew on me so I re did it and I used this! The problem with any red hair dye is that even if it is permanent it fades really quickly, I used to have to do mine every 2 weeks or so, no matter where or who does it for you because when it fades it goes pinky, then a really vile orange colour if you leave it long enough!
bleach will kill your hair but 9 times out of ten is you use box product your hair cant use prof. products. consult a dresser to c what they can do but eeathier way your hair will defintly be damaged
the only real way and safe way to do it is with foils and being done professionally, you may have already over processed your hair, and more attempts will lead it to be more damaged
if you are going for this style statement then please get it done professionally, you have already found out the home idea did not work, it can look stunning when done properly though, hope that answers your question
You'll really have to go to a professional - they can do it properly and they have some great shades. Be warned though, reds fade amazingly quickly.
